Christmas is a season of joy all over the Christian world. People celebrate the birth of Christ with prayers, songs (carols), gifts, eating and drinking in a merry feast.
Every Christmas bells ring, trees are decorated, cards are sent and many people make cribs (or mangers).
The custom of having a crib (or manger) was begun by St. Francis of Assisi, in Italy.
The tradition of decorating trees began in Denmark, Sweden and Norarway, where people had the custom of bringing small green trees into their homes at Christmas time.
These trees becamcime people also sing carols that are songs associated with Christmas season. They are easy ti sing and easy to remember.
